Do you have a digital photo of the headstone? If so, I'd love to get a copy of it on the webpage. Here is William's obituary:
WILLIAM HENRY FRANCOM PASSES AWAY
AT RIPE OLD AGE OF SEVENTY-SIX WELL KNOWN RESIDENT SUCCOMBS TO ATTACK OF PNEUMONIA
The passing of one of the oldest and best known residents of Glenns Ferry was marked by the death on last Friday at 8:45 a.m. of William H. Francom at his home in this city. Though Mr. Francom had not been in the best of health for some time, his condition had never been considered critical until just a few days before his death when it was seen that the severe cold he had contracted was developing into pneumonia.
William H. Francom was born in England on Feb 2, 1839. When a young man he came to this country and after a few years moving to Farmington, Utah, where a great share of his life was spent. He moved to Glenns Ferry in 1895 and until about a year ago had a responsible position in the local Short Line shops. During his residence here by his geniality he became generally well liked.
He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, Mrs. Flora M. Francom and seven children, Emery, George, Joseph, Kate, Laura and Emily all of Salt Lake City and Mrs. C. A. Jacobson of Hagerman. To these the sincere sympathy of this community goes out to them at this time.
The funeral service of Bishop Heber Q. Hale of Boise officiating occurred on Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock in the local opera house, and was attended by an unusually large gathering. Interment was made in the local cemetery.
Those from out of town who were in attendance at the funeral are: George, Emery and Joseph Francom of Salt Lake City; Mr. And Mrs. C. A. Jacobson of Hagerman; L. Hoffman and Mrs. Mary Cooke of Baker City; Mrs. W. Fife and Mrs. Everett of Pocatello; Ms. C. J. Baugh of Shoshone; Samuel and John Francom of Payson, Utah.
